What is The Fit Muslimah Challenge?

1. Drink Half Your Body Weight in Water (in ounces) Daily:
Hydration supports mental clarity and physical resilience. Your goal is to drink half your body weight in pounds, in ounces. For example, if you weigh 200 lbs, aim for 100 oz daily.
2. Eliminate All Added Sweeteners:
Say goodbye to added sugars and sweeteners—including honey, stevia, and monk fruit. Experience food in its natural form, reset your taste buds, and reduce cravings.
3. 40 Minute Workout Every Day:
Set aside 40 minutes daily for focused activity. This isn’t about workouts you fit in while running errands—this is intentional time for movement, whether it’s a walk, a hike, a yoga class, or a workout.
4. Gratitude Journaling:
Spend a few minutes each day writing down things you are grateful for in a journal. Cultivating gratitude is a core element of this journey, and maintaining a journal will help foster a positive and thankful mindset.
5. Daily Dhikr (100 Times)
Recite the following dhikr to center your heart and focus your mind:
- Arabic: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ
- Transliteration: SubhanAllah, walhamdulillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wa Allahu Akbar
- English: “Glory be to Allah, all praise is due to Allah, there is no deity but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.”

As an internationally recognized health and fitness expert with over 20 years of experience, Mubarakah Ibrahim has dedicated her life to helping women transform their health, inside and out. With a B.S. in Exercise Science, Public Health, and Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University and 13+ certifications in fitness and nutrition, Mubarakah combines science-backed methods with practical coaching.
Her expertise has landed her on The Oprah Winfrey Show, in The New York Times, and Prevention Magazine, and she was invited twice to the White House by President Barack Obama for her contributions to health and fitness in America, as well as her entrepreneurship.
In addition to her work in health and fitness, Mubarakah is also an accomplished powerlifter, setting state records in Connecticut for her deadlift, squat, and bench press. In 2023, she took home Masters Gold at the USPA National Competition and was invited to represented the U.S. at the International Powerlifting League Meet.
Mubarakah’s personal journey through health, fitness, and faith fuels her passion for guiding women through their own transformations. The 30/90 Shift Method was born out of her desire to provide women with a sustainable path to reclaiming their health, while also deepening their connection to themselves and Allah.
